Delor J. Wellman

Delor J. Wellman, age 93, of Ford River passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the Oscar G. Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Mich. He was born September 21, 1929 in Bark River, Mich. and was the son of Jesse and Louise (Lavoie) Wellman. Delor married the former Patricia Englund on October 28, 1950 and she preceded her in death on March 28, 2015. Delor worked for General Motors in Detroit for 18 years until he retired in 1968.

Delor J. Wellman is survived by: children, David (Mary Jo) Wellman of Bark River, Debbie (Ken) Brunette of Flat Rock and Dale Wellman (DeAnna MacKenzie) of Escanaba; 10 grandchildren, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Private family services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Burial took place in the West Ford River Cemetery with Pastor Jay Gilchrist officiating with full military rites by the U.S. Army.
