Debra K. Manninen from Escanaba, Michigan, formerly from Hancock, passed at age 69, while residing at Ashford Court in Westland, MI. Debbie was born the oldest of three children to Alfred and Barbara Brusorio on August 12, 1954.
Debbie graduated from Hancock High School. She happily retired as the Regional Manager for the Superior region of Michigan Department of Transportation. Debbie loved to read, watch old westerns like “Gunsmoke,” and going out with friends. Her favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas. Debbie took pride in her Christmas tree, and often had colored themes. She loved spending Christmas with her children and dog Molly.
Debbie is survived by her brother Mike Brusorio; her two sons David and Matthew Manninen; and her beloved Dog Molly.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. A luncheon will be served during the visitation in the Ludington Room located at Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating the life of Debra Manninen will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Cowen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathy are asked to donate in memory of Debbie to the Delta Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
