Obituary

Dacari K. Purvis, 56, of Escanaba, passed away Feb. 27, 2023 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI following a lengthy illness. Dacari was born on November 5, 1966 in Lakewood, CO. Dacari was very personable, working primarily as waitress or bartender. She was an extraordinarily kind and gentle, yet outgoing person, who truly appreciated and loved others. Dacari also enjoyed cooking, the Denver Broncos, gnomes and animals, especially her cat “Nosey.” She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Kay Harrison; father, Larry Purvis; brother, Doug Purvis; nephew, Steven Purvis; beloved aunt, Barbara Petroff; son, Adam Kuhlmann; granddaughters, Mercedes, Carley and Mya; life partner, David Fix; and numerous cousins and friends.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services at this time. A private celebration of her life will be held by the Fix family at a later date.
