Connie Beauchamp, age 71, of Deerfield Beach, FL passed away after a long struggle with cancer in “God’s Country” as she called it (Michigan’s Upper Peninsula) in the arms of her husband Gary on November 16, 2023.
Connie has touched the lives of so many people over the years. She was very involved with her church, being at her son’s tae kwon do classes/tournaments and working for the Deerfield Beach community where her husband Gary and 4 children (Christine, Mike, Matt and Adam) grew up.
She wanted the following poem read in her honor:
For Those I Love
When I am gone, release me, let me go, I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears, please be thankful for our beautiful years.
I gave to you my love. You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown. But now it’s time I traveled on alone.
So Grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for a time that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away,
For life goes on, so if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near, and if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear all my love
Around you soft and clear. And then, someday, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and say… “Welcome Home.”
Per Connie’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead she asks that you share your memories of her with her husband Gary and family.
In lieu of flowers, Connie would like any donations be sent to the:
Florida Humane Society, 3870 N. Powerline Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33074 or by calling them at 954-974-6142 (press 0). Let them know you are donating specifically for "Cats" which are her favorite.
She leaves behind several of her own at home.
