Christine Brooks Obituary

Christine A. Brooks, age 74, of Manistique, MI passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique, MI. She was born March 17, 1950 in Menominee, MI and was the daughter of Gene and Mable (Freeman) Chartier. Christine grew up in Niagara, WI and graduated from Niagara High School. The former Christine Chartier was married to Albert Ackerman and later to Herschel Brooks and both Albert and Herschel preceded Christine in death. Christine lived most of her adult life in Arizona before moving back to the Upper Peninsula in 2018. She lived in Kingsford, Germfask, Marquette and most recently in Manistique, MI

Christine is survived by her son Joseph Ackerman (Lisa Oslund)- Cassie and Hunter of Kingsford, MI; daughter Jackie Ackerman (Obe) of Arizona; grandchildren Kailyn, Kaitly, and Montgomery; and great grandchild Ella Rose and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and two husbands she was preceded in death by her brother George Chartier.

Private funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home.
