Cheryl Lynn (Berhow) Towns

Cheryl Lynn Towns, age 68, of Escanaba passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at U.P. Health Systems- Marquette. She was born November 16, 1955 in Escanaba, MI and was the daughter of John and Rona (Liberty) Berhow. Cheryl graduated from Escanaba High School with the class of 1973 and then attended Bay de Noc Community College. The former Cheryl Berhow married Don Towns on November 6, 1982 at the Ford River Bible Chapel. Cheryl worked at a variety of businesses over the years, including Jeager Brothers Construction, BayBank, Michigan Works, and Besse Forest Products. She retired in 2017 and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Grace Church and Delta Force. Cheryl loved her grandchildren, family, and friends. Her greatest enjoyment was going to church and being in the outdoors. Her and Don traveled the United States in their RV and loved to meet new people. There were no strangers to Cheryl, they were just people that she had not met yet!

Cheryl is survived by husband Don; son Jonathan (Dianna) Towns of Escanaba; two grandchildren Eli and Raelynn; brothers Glen Berhow of Dallas, TX, and Randy (Kristine) Berhow of Escanaba; sister Lori (Gil) Dixon of Houston, TX; father John (Karolyn) Berhow of Trinity, TX and several nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother Rona Berhow on August 31, 1984.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Cheryl Lynn Towns will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Culbertson officiating.
