Charles L. Kinsaul, age 83, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 26, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. He was born on July 30, 1938 in Panama City, FL, the son of Doris Kinsaul Rushford. At the young age of 7, he and his family moved to Fayette, MI and grew up working on the family dairy farm. Charles later attended God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, OH where he met his future wife, Jeanette Davis, when he was 17 years old. The couple were married in 1955. Charles delivered milk as a milkman in Indiana before relocating to California in the Sacramento area. He was employed at Granny Goose Potato Chip Factory for several years as a supervisor. In 1980, they moved to Manistique and purchased the Marble Head Dairy Farm. He owned and operated the farm until he sold the cattle, and later sold timber and gravel off of the farm until his retirement. His wife, Jeanette passed away in 1994. Charles married the former Deborah LaMarche in 1996 in Manistique and together shared 25 years of marriage. In June of 2020, Charles and Deborah moved to Escanaba. He enjoyed everything about life – especially the little things such as cutting the grass. His ultimate hobby was being a Witness of Jesus Christ and was strong in his faith as a member of the Escanaba Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Charles is survived by his wife, Debbie Kinsaul of Escanaba, MI; children, Joanne Kirk of Manistique, MI, Christopher (Hunani) Kinsaul of Manistique, MI, Lori Ross of Escanaba, MI, Melissa Kinsaul of WI, Adam (Sabrina) Anderson of Chattanooga, TN, and Jennifer (Joshua) Garrett of Escanaba, MI; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles Gary.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Escanaba Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Funeral services celebrating the life of Charles will follow at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, with Pastor Rick Binford officiating. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the services in the church fellowship hall. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Manistique, MI.
