It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Brenda Raymond (Jordan) at the age of 59, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us on July 17, 2023. She was born on January 18, 1964 in Ada, OK to her loving parents, Dorman Jordan and Patricia Scarberry (Norton). Brenda was the epitome of love, grace, and devotion, and her memory will forever be engraved in our hearts.
Brenda was a pillar of strength and an incredible wife to her husband, Craig Raymond, and mother to her five daughters: Stephanie Breault (Mark Breault), Shonda Jordan (Nick Mobbs), Mary Shanks (John Shanks), Maderia Raymond, and Audrey Raymond. She was a source of unwavering love, support, and guidance throughout their lives, always ready to lend an empathetic ear or offer words of wisdom. Brenda found immense joy and pride in watching her daughters grow and become the remarkable women they are today. Brenda loved watching her husband perform and took great pride in musical talents. Even after almost thirty years, she still loved and cherished her husband, and encouraged him to dream big dreams.
As a doting grandmother, Brenda cherished her role and had the privilege of witnessing the lives of her grandchildren blossom. She leaves behind four grandsons: Mikey Breault, Everest Pietila, Nicholas Mobbs, Jr., and Noah Shanks; and two granddaughters: Aspen Larson and Shelby Breault, who were the light of her life. Her love and devotion for them knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating beautiful memories that will be treasured forever.
Brenda had a strong faith in Jesus, which guided her through life's challenges and provided her with solace and strength. Her spirituality was an integral part of her character and helped shape her into the loving, compassionate, and selfless person she was. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, leading by example and touching many lives with her unwavering faith.
When she was not spending time with her family, Brenda could often be found in the kitchen, whipping up delicious meals that delighted everyone fortunate enough to taste her culinary creations. Her cooking was an expression of her love, and each dish was imbued with care and attention to detail. Her recipes will continue to be cherished, ensuring her presence is felt during family gatherings.
Brenda also had a fondness for Hallmark movies, science fiction, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Detroit Red Wings. Her enthusiasm for these forms of entertainment created joyful moments shared with loved ones, who will forever remember her laughter and genuine enjoyment.
At heart, Brenda was a philosopher who had a profound love for writing. She had a deep curiosity about life's big questions and was always eager to engage in meaningful conversations. Her thoughts and insights were shared through her writings, allowing her to express her innermost musings and connect with others on a deeper level.
Above all, Brenda valued her family above everything else. Her love knew no boundaries, and she tirelessly gave of herself to ensure their happiness and well-being. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, resilience, and selflessness that will continue to inspire generations to come.
