Brandi Highlund Obituary

Brandi Lee Highlund, age 23, of De Pere, WI, (formerly of Isabella), passed away, Sunday, September 27, 2020 at her home in De Pere, WI. She was born on May 11, 1997 in Manistique, MI, the daughter of James Elmer Highland, Jr. and Becky Sue Pilon. Brandi grew up in Isabella and graduated from high school in 2016, afterward she relocated to Green Bay, WI. She was involved in karate since she was 5 years old and held a 2nd degree black belt. Brandi even traveled to compete in the World Championships in Canada. Brandi worked hard to provide for her children as they meant the world to her. She loved singing in the car, dancing, and having a good laugh. Her smile brightened the world and her upbeat personality will be missed by many.

Brandi Lee Highlund is survived by her mother, Becky Pilon of De Pere, WI; father, James Highlund, Jr. of Isabella; children, Arés Keene (age 5), Labella Newman (age 4), and Svennin Burbey (age 1); brothers, Tyler McGuigan of Rapid River – currently serving in the US Air Force in the UK, and Bruce McGuigan of Rapid River; maternal grandmother, Brenda Hyland of Garden; maternal grandfather, Richard Pilon of Isabella; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Brandi was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James Highlund, Sr. and Sharon Highlund; and maternal grandmother, Lori Pilon.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gladstone. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Moss Lake Cemetery in Isabella with Pastor Bill Rafuse officiating. Burial will take place following the services.
