Beverly Jean Wellman

Beverly Jean Wellman, age 92, former Escanaba resident passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024 at Odd Fellows Nursing Home, Green Bay, WI. She was born February 23, 1932 in Schaffer, MI and was the daughter of Arthur and Mary Helen (Beauchamp) LeClaire.  Beverly attended and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Escanaba. The former Beverly LeClaire married Robert R. Wellman on January 28, 1950 in Escanaba and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2008.  Beverly was a wonderful mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and embroidery.  Bev and Bob enjoyed camping with their music group friends and they donated many hours of their time to various charities. Beverly enjoyed flowers and gardening. Her home was always surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants.

Beverly is survived by daughters Lois Ann (Jerry) Scheriff of Green Bay, WI, Karen Jean Hjort of DePere, WI, Pamela Marie (Raymond) Drzonek of Sun Prairie, WI and Donna May Weber of Manitowoc, WI; grandchildren Scott (Donna) Scheriff, Sheila (Chris) Hagen, Jeremy (Rachel) Hjort, Jennifer Hjort, Douglas Klavon, Derek Weber, Danielle (Andrew) Madson, R.J. Drzonek/Sarah Miller, and Christina Drzonek.  Greatgrandchildren Marissa Hagen, Emily Dewey, Ian Dewey, Ella Dewey, Keira Lenz, Bryce Drzonek, Evelyn Madson and Ivan Madson; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two infant sons Robin and Joseph Wellman; sister Valerie Swank; brother Gordon LeClair and son in law James Hjort.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Beverly Wellman will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday with Deacon Mike LeBeau officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services in the Ludington Room located in the Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
