Betty L. Young

Betty L. Young of Escanaba, MI, age 77, passed away on January 16, 2024, at OSF Hospital after a brief illness.

Betty was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on April 28, 1946, to Raymond and Helen (Augustino) Roberts, Sr.

Betty loved her cat and taking walks, but most of all, she loved helping people. She would gladly give the shirt off her back to someone in need.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Marie (Gary) Weese of Ohio; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother Raymond (Susie) Roberts, Jr. of Georgia; good friend Bob Young of Wyoming, MI; and her best buddy, Doris Cayer of Bark River, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister Mildred.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Harbor Light Church of God, 612 2nd Avenue S., Escanaba, MI 49829. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Immediately following the service, there will be a time of fellowship, food, and refreshments.
