Bernadine Hackney of Gladstone, Michigan, formerly of Manistique and Flint, age 97, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 23, 2024, at the Bishop Noa Home, Escanaba, MI.
She was born in Flint, Michigan on February 20, 1927, and was a graduate of Central High School.
Bernadine is survived by her loving children, John (Sharon) Hackney, Christine (Mack) Hulla, and Cynthia (Loren) Rogers; grandchildren Jeffrey Hackney, James Hackney, Loren Rogers, Jr., Lydia Mae Rogers, and Elizabeth Hulla; great grandchildren John, Sarai, Jace, Gage, and Freyja.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Josephine (Cronkright) Seely; husband William Hackney; sister Lydia Mae (Richard Lee) Allen; and niece Linda Lee Allen.
As Bernadine wished, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be celebrated in the summer of 2024.
