Berdett Arbella (Whetstone) Wadle

Berdett Arbella Wadle, age 92, of Wetmore passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, at U.P. Health Systems- Marquette. She was born February 22, 1933, in Muskegon, MI and was the daughter of Merl and Ada Bell (Newell) Whetstone. She grew up in Crystal, Michigan and helped on the family farm. 

On May 5, 1951, Berdett married Merlin Eugene Wadle, and he preceded her is death on February 17, 1998.

Berdett worked at the Masonic Home in Alma and later with home health care. Berdett started factory work, working in different factories and retiring from Greenville Products in Greenville, MI in the Electrolux Plant. In 1994 they moved to Stevens Lake.

Berdett is survived by children; Margo Withey, Cindy (Jimmy) London, Kimberly Buskirk, Merlin Lamonte Wadle, Lynn Frederick Wadle, and Jody Lee (Denise) Wadle.  Fourteen grandchildren and many great and great grandchildren; sisters Sharon McVay, Judy Bowen, Clara Deitsch and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Berdett was preceded in death by sister Lu Dean Wonch and twins at birth.

A celebration of life will be held on November 1, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Crystal Community Center, 217 West Park Street, Crystal, MI  48818.
