Barbara J. Erickson

Barbara J. Erickson, age 62, of Escanaba, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 13, 2020 at Helping Hands Adult Foster Care Home in Escanaba. She was born on May 30, 1958 in Escanaba, the daughter of Robert and Betty (Johnson) Erickson. Barbara attended the Kennedy School for Handicapped Children (her parents were founding members). She enjoyed spending time and going to camp in Perkins. Barbara was a kind and loving person who loved nature. She was employed for many years at Lakestate Industries in Escanaba.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Beatrice Erickson of Escanaba; brother, Robert (Connie) Erickson, Jr. of Yuma, AZ; one nephew, Robbie Erickson; and caregivers, Randy and Pam Tauke of Gladstone.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Robert Erickson on February 22, 2014; and her mother, Betty Erickson on January 21, 2018.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Barbara will follow at 1:15 p.m., Friday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Robb Jurkovich officiating. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery. A special thank you to Helping Hands Adult Foster Care for their care and compassion given to Barbara.
