Arlean P. Moore, age 96, of New Port Richey, FL and Escanaba, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Life Care of New Port Richey. She was born on April 14, 1926 in Escanaba, the daughter of Fredrick L. and Elsie H. (Myers) Robinson. At a young age, Arlean learned to sew during school and earned many ribbons for her beautiful work. She was a graduate of Foster City High School. She began her working career as a seamstress working at Singer Sewing Company. She then worked at The Fair Store and later Montgomery Ward until going to work at BJ’s in the Delta Plaza Mall. The former Arlean Robinson married Clifford Moore on July 27, 1946 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Escanaba. Together, the couple have shared 76 years of marriage. Arlean was a very meticulous lady and made sure everything was done correctly. She also was known for when she said something, she meant it. She will be greatly missed by all.
Arlean is survived by husband, Clifford Moore of New Port Richey, FL; daughter, Cheryl (Lewis) Clayton; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia of Whitfield, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Arlean was preceded in death by son, Jerald Clifford Moore.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Arlean will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Christine Bergquist officiating. Burial will take place in the Foster City Cemetery.
