Alice Mokszycke Obituary

Alice M. Mokszycke, age 91, our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma went to Heaven Sunday morning, March 28, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side. Alice was born on August 7, 1929 in Ford River, the daughter of Henry and Jennie (Johnson) Posenke, and lived her entire life in the Ford River/Hyde area. She graduated from Escanaba High School in 1947. Alice married Walter Mokszycke on July 8, 1950 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba and spent 52 wonderful years together. She worked at Ford River Elementary School as the lunch lady for many years and went on to work at the Escanaba High School until her retirement in 1990. Alice and Wally also had a catering service for 26 years. If you went to a wedding in the area, it was most likely catered by them – they had the best food on the planet. Alice loved cooking and baking. She also loved working on puzzles, and knitting in her younger years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. If you rode by on a Sunday, you could always find her with family cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Alice M. Mokszycke is survived by her children, Allen (Karen) Mokszycke, Terry (Karen) Mokszycke, Dale (Debbie) Mokszycke, and Scott (Debbie) Mokszycke; grandchildren, Diana (Dennis) Fournier, Karie Huskey, James (Sabrina) Mokszycke, Joe (Tami) Mokszycke, Heather (Dale) Sprague, Eric (Carolyn) Mokszycke, Andy (Mindy) Mokszycke, Jennie Mokszycke, Jacob Mokszycke, and Mya Mokszycke; great-grandchildren, Dawson (Brooke), Makenzye, Alanna, Cassandra, Marissa, Karlena, Lila, Gabriel, Emelia, Haddee, Oliver, Miles, Camden, and Baby Mo due in April; great-great-grandchild, Liam; sisters-in-law, Rosemary (Terry) Delougary, Julaine VanEnkevort, and Judy Myler; brothers-in-law, Bob Myler, Edwin Myler, Mike Myler, and Jim (MaryAnn) Myler; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Char Scheeneman.
