Scott O. Thompson, age 59, of 6050 18.3 Rd. in Gladstone, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba. He was born on December 3, 1957 in Escanaba, the son of John and Dorothy (Herbeck) Thompson. Scott grew up in the Escanaba area and graduated from Escanaba High School. Following high school, Scott worked for Performance Vans in Escanaba, later worked in construction, and also at Bosk Corporation. He owned and operated U.P. Powder Coating in Escanaba until his retirement due to illness. Scott loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding his motorcycles, snowmobiles, off-road vehicles, and cars.

Scott O. Thompson is survived by son, Jason Thompson of Gladstone; granddaughter, Emi Thompson of Gladstone; mother, Dorothy Thompson of Gladstone; and brother, John Thompson of Gladstone.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, John Thompson.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba.
