Ruby R. Sacco, age 90, of 155 29th Street in Gladstone passed away Thursday November 21, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. She was born April 10, 1929 in Coffee Springs, Alabama, the daughter of Jesse and Ethel (Brewer) Wooten. Ruby was employed as a waitress at Saunders Ice Cream Shop in Detroit and later at Big Al’s Restaurant in Escanaba. She then worked as a seamstress at Escanaba Steam Laundry and also helped her husband work in the woods. Ruby enjoyed knitting and crocheting and would go out of her way for anyone. She could do anything and loved to spend time with her family and friends. Her hope for the future was to be resurrected back to life on this earth, with the earth being brought back to paradise conditions. Ruby was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Ruby R. Sacco is survived by children, Frances Wrate of Ishpeming, and Joseph Sacco of Escanaba; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by daughter, Jennie Sue Anderson; son, Clifton Albert Bellows; sister, Hazel; and brothers, Marlin and William, grandson Eric.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Escanaba. A memorial talk will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place in the Rock Cemetery.
