Kenneth Allen Mosher, II, age 69, of 7605 CAP’S 16th Lane in Rapid River, MI (Stonington) passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. He was born June 18, 1949 in Wayne County, MI, the son of Kenneth A. and Elizabeth A. (Overby) Mosher. Ken graduated from Monroe, MI High School in 1967. Following graduation, Ken worked at Ford Motor Company for a few months until he started his career with Michigan Bell Telephone Company. In the early 1970’s, Ken moved to Marquette, MI and later to Stonington. He was employed for 35 years with Michigan Bell as a splicer until his retirement in 1994. Ken married the former Carol Beggs on June 24, 1978 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonington. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving as board chairman of the church council and sexton of Lakewood Cemetery. Ken also served on the Bay de Noc Township Board, was a member of the Stonington Booster Club, and performed snow removal for many area residents. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved spending time with family and friends.
Kenneth Allen Mosher, II is survived by his wife, Carol Mosher of Stonington; sons, Kenneth Allen (Cari) Mosher, III of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Jeff (Melissa) Mosher of Sheboygan, WI; daughter, Kerry (Scott) Fullerton of Garden City, MI; grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Hanna, Perrin, Cienna, Ashley, Robert, Jacob, and Joshua; sisters, Dorothy (Bruce) Duncan of Muskegon, MI, Karen Pieron of Maumee, OH, and Katherine Arms of Iron Mountain, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Kenneth Allen Mosher, II will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Diane Srutowski officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakewood Cemetery in Stonington. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the services in the Anderson Funeral Home Reception Area. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to please be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Stonington Booster Club, or a charity of one’s choice.
Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Lakewood Cemetery in Stonington with a reception to follow at the Stonington Community Center.
