Our sympathy to Joyce's family. Growing up in Spurr, I (Candace) always loved going to Ketola's store for some ice cream. Joyce was always to sweet and friendly. When visiting Dawson's mom at Jacobetti, I always stopped by Joyce's room to say hi.

To the family of Joyce: Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Joyce was delightful and had such patience as the roommate of my Mom after my Dad passed. She always had good things to say and enjoyed coming out to eat with us when we would take my Mom out for some of our visits. God bless you all.

Deepest sympathy to all of Joyce's family. I worked with Joyce at the Coffee Shop in Ishpeming when I was in high school. What a joy to work with, always smiling and enjoying the people and her co-workers. She was such a hard-worker, too. Our family used to stop by your store in Three Lakes on our way to L'Anse very often. My parents knew your parents because my mother was related to Nina Ketola. I just wanted to say how sweet I thought Joyce was. A wonderful woman who you wanted to spend time with and have as a friend. May the Lord Jesus comfort you all at this sad time.. but we are also rejoicing with her as she beholds the glory of our Savior and is united with dear loved ones.

My prayers are with you at this time of loss. I remember some great times in Three Lakes staying with Maxine. Your mother was so spirited and good natured. Maxine, remember the week we spent at Suomi College in Hancock for a Luther League camp.

Dear Larry & Bonnie, Dale, Mark & Maxine & all family----. What times were shared & friendship!
Your Mother was fun, energized, hard working, friendly, pretty, loving & giving, & I will forever remember her laughter! She was a special lady ! Aunt Hilma & Uncle Earl were family & so were your folks when they took over the store.
God's Peace be with you all.
