Joan “Joann” Strom, age 85, of Escanaba passed away Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba. She was born November 19, 1931 in Hyde, MI and was the daughter of Myron and Bertha (Green) Legg, Sr. Joann attended school in Escanaba and later worked at the Escanaba Glove Factory, in Housekeeping at St. Francis Hospital and at Mueller’s Pizza, all in Escanaba. The former Joan “Joann” Legg married Robert “Red” Lauscher and later married Clayton Strom. They both preceded her in death. Joann enjoyed sewing and was an avid Detroit Tiger and Green Bay Packers fan. She loved spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Son- David (Carol) Lauscher of Gladstone 
Daughter-Cathy Bullard (Carl Webber) of Iron Mountain, MI 
Four Grandchildren- Todd Lauscher, Tom Lauscher, Suzanne Bullard and Kristina Bullard 
Six Great Grandchildren- Madalynn, Cooper, Preston, Jackson, Delaney and Braxton 
Several Nieces and Nephews

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by son, Danny Lauscher; sister, Erlaine Johnston; and brothers, Myron Legg, Jr and Gene Legg.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Coffee, desserts, and cookies will be served during the visitation in the Anderson Funeral Home fellowship area. Funeral services celebrating the life of Joan “Joann” Strom will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Eric Olson from St. Joseph/St. Patrick’s Catholic Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
