Fidelia Morgan Hoehn

Fidelia Morgan Hoehn, age 98, of 1100 N. Lake Shore Dr. in Gladstone, passed away Thursday evening, August 31, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. She was born on October 4, 1918 in Lake Linden, MI, the daughter of Caleb and Clara (Neveau) Killmar. Fidelia grew up in Lake Linden and graduated from Lake Linden High School. She then went on to attend a nurses training school where she received her degree as a Nurse Anesthetist. Fidelia enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII where she worked in the MASH Unit in the European Theater. Following the service, she worked in Ann Arbor as a nurse at Ann Arbor Hospital. The former Fidelia M. Killmar married Clair Hoehn on December 5, 1946 in Ann Arbor, MI and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2007. The couple shared 60 years of marriage together and raised four children. They moved from Ann Arbor to Gladstone in 1949. In 1985, Clair and Fidelia retired and moved to Norfork, AK where they spent 25 years. Fidelia moved back to Escanaba in 2007 where she was able to spend time with her family. She enjoyed working in her yard regardless of the time of year. Fidelia was a hard worker and kind spirit who will be missed by so many.

Fidelia M. Hoehn is survived by four children, Jean (Robert) Sovey of Escanaba, Clair Hoehn of Gross Point, MI, Susan Hoehn of Arcadia, CA, and Frederick (Kathi) Hoehn of Escanaba; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Fidelia was preceded in death by two sisters, Theora Glanville and Jean Piech.

Private funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba.
