Dorothy F. Thompson

Dorothy F. Thompson, age 88, of Gladstone (Bay View), passed away Wednesday morning, September 5, 2018 at her home. She was born on April 30, 1930 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Stella (Zeutzius) Herbeck. Dorothy grew up in Green Bay where she also graduated from high school. The former Dorothy Herbeck married John Q. Thompson on May 28, 1949 in Escanaba and he preceded her in death in 1986. Together, the couple shared 37 years of marriage and raised two sons, John and Scott. Dorothy loved the simple things in life, especially taking care of her yard, gardening, and making home cooked meals. She loved caring for her family as they were her top priority. She also had a huge place in her heart for her pets.

Dorothy F. Thompson is survived by one son, John Thompson of Bay View; two grandsons, Jason Thompson of Bay View, and John Thompson of Escanaba; one great-granddaughter, Emi Thompson of Gladstone; and one sister.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Scott on July 11, 2017; and one sister.

Private graveside services were held at Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
