Charles A. Redilla, age 56, of 825 S 26th Street in Escanaba, passed away Thursday evening, September 12, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 18, 1963 in Redford, MI, the son of Mary Louise (Redilla) Break. Charles was raised in Redford and graduated from Redford Union High School in 1980. Following graduation, Charles continued his education at Schoolcraft Community College in Livonia, MI. Charles married the former Sherion Darlene Huckabee on April 25, 1987 in Westland, MI. Together, the couple shared 32 years of marriage. He worked at DMS Moving Systems for several years until he was later employed by Abrams Moving and Storage Company. Charles and Sherion moved to the Upper Peninsula in 1999, settling in Escanaba. He found joy in spending time outdoors – especially hunting, camping, and moonlight walks on the beach. Charles also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to cookouts, and drinking an adult beverage. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Charles A. Redilla is survived by his wife, Sherion Redilla of Escanaba; 3 sons, Richard Schuman of Brighton, MI, Nathan Schuman of Escanaba, and Christopher Schuman of Escanaba; his mother, Mary Break of Escanaba; brother, Mark (Lisa) Break of Hueytown, AL; sister, Debbie Break (Shane King) of Escanaba; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his mother and father-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Charles will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Robb Jurkovich officiating. Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Redilla family.
