Vina Marie Silich, age 73, of 510 1st Ave. South (Harbor Tower) in Escanaba, passed away Wednesday morning, September 6, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Escanaba. She was born on January 17, 1944 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Harold Dickerson and Virginia West. Vina grew up in Illinois and graduated from high school. She was a very hard worker, where her only transportation was riding a bike to and from a hotel she was employed at. Vina loved being a mother and homemaker, caring for her children throughout the years. Family and friends meant the world to her, as she spent much time with them and attended many events. Vina was everyone’s “go-to” person. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by many.

Vina Marie Silich is survived by daughters, Susan Willis of Burbank, IL, Sally Ulatowski of Maywood, IL, and Sarah Ulatowski of Escanaba; grandchildren, Ashlie, Nathaniel, Aidan, Graceyln, Kathlyn, Zophia, Nevaeh, and Olivia; brothers, Harold Dickerson, Mike Dickerson, and David Dickerson; sisters, Laura Dickerson, and Sherri Dickerson; and many nieces and nephews.

Vina was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Virginia; sisters, Amy and Iva; and brothers, Terry and Rick.

Private funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba.
