Paul D. Jaeger, age 60, of Watson, MI, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his home in Byron Center, MI. He was born on September 18, 1956 in Escanaba, the son of Bill and Eileen (Peippo) Jaeger. Paul grew up in Watson and graduated from Gwinn High School in 1974. He attended Bay College and worked for the late Blaine Bridges. When he was 21, he followed his entrepreneurial spirit and began a successful business that is still in operation. He was a devoted father and proud grandfather and loved to travel with his family and friends. Paul was an avid NASCAR fan, he thoroughly enjoyed all sports; especially college athletics (Go Green!) and the Detroit Tigers. 

Paul was involved with many charities and organizations as an animal lover and supporter of veterans. He was a kind and generous soul to everyone he met. His house was always open and welcoming and he could often be found taking in stray animals or spending time with his cows. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who were lucky to know him. 

Paul is survived by his wife, Jennifer Jaeger of Byron Center, MI; children, Adam (Jennie Merritt) Jaeger, Andy Jaeger, and Alexander Jaeger; grandchildren, Eli, Hunter, Aspyn, Farrah, and Collin Jaeger; brother, Bill (Tammy) Jaeger; sisters, Linda (Mike) Sanville, Barb (Dan) Dorn, and Jill Jaeger; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Eileen Jaeger. 

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Paul Jaeger will follow at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Hill officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials please be directed to UPAWS in memory of Paul.
