Lisa Ann Simpkins, age 54, of Bark River, passed away Wednesday evening, September 20, 2017 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers where she and her little friend, “Teddy,” were residents for 5 years. Lisa was born on March 21, 1963 and was the daughter of Clifford and Donna Simpkins. She was born in Columbus, OH and resided in Hilliard, OH where she graduated from high school. Lisa remained in Hilliard until 1993 when she moved to Bark River. Lisa was a quiet and loving person who kept to herself and was very proud that she turned a great aunt in July 2017.

Survivors include her sisters, Peggy Simpkins, and Cheryl (Derrick) Eliason; one nephew, Jeremy (Corissa) Eliason; and her great niece, Kendra Rae Eliason.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Melanie Jane.

Private funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Simpkins family.
