Christopher G. Seymour, age 29, of 202 Ventura St. in Gwinn, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 2, 1988 in Phoenix, AZ, the son of George, Jr. and Glenna (Seymour) Ashley. Chris grew up in Escanaba where he also attended school. He lived in various places in the area including; Escanaba, Bark River, Trenary, and most recently, Gwinn. Chris worked in the woods throughout his life. He had a passion for being outdoors – especially hunting and fishing. His son was the light of his life and he was so proud to be a father.

Chris G. Seymour is survived by mother, Glenna Ashley of Rapid River; fiancé, Dakota Swisher of Gwinn; son, Hunter Anthony Seymour of Gwinn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, George Robert Ashely, Jr. in 2013.

A memorial gathering in honor of Christopher’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Trenary Tavern.
